Jakk Jo was the first artist to champion the sound of his hometown of New Orleans 4 years ago with the song "Ya Heard Me!” Four years later he’s completing the 5th installment of the, “Wohday Musik Series” which is due for release later this year. The series pays homage to the sound and the unique culture of the Big Easy. Since then many artists has followed Jakk Jo’s lead by using the sound he resurrected from the long forgotten CD’s of the past.
While his fans wait for, “Wohday Music 5” Jakk Jo decided to reintroduce himself to music fans by bringing something raw and energetic with his new project, “The Introduction”, with a release date of August 30th. His first single aptly called, “Introduction” (release date of June 28th) starts off with about seven or eight “OHs” which immediately grabs your attention, then the bass drops and the first thing you hear is, “Make way for a young nigga, Industry here I come nigga, Hand gun with a drum in it, Wet pussy I’m going to cum in it, Big paper I’m going come get it” and he continues dropping bars for another two minutes. Lastly, you will be body rocking to the bars and bass. With production coming from around the world this 14 track album will keep you entertained all the way through.
Throughout Jakk Jo’s life he has been surrounded by the visionaries of the undeniable sound that came from New Orleans and dominated hip-hop realm in the mid-to-late-90s and early 2000s. When one hears the arrangements of rhymes and melodies that started a movement in the music industry at such an influential age the sound becomes entangled with your spirit. As time went on Jakk Jo became the embodiment of these lyrics and like the soundtrack of New Orleans Jakk Jo’s life has been flooded with despair, hope, agony, and joy.
