Ryan Ka$h AKA RyKe is a 17 year old rapper, producer, and music video director from NJ trying to catch his break and bring himself, his surroundings, and his ideas to the top of the hip hop industry. "I got a unique style ... I keep true hip hop lyricism and elements in my music but still add my own flavor ... I represent a lot of different lifestyles and types of people and express everything I've experienced in my life with creativity as an artist. I stay completely real and make music about what I know plus I don't try to sound like somethin' that I'm not ... I'm more than comfortable as myself". RyKe's new indepedendent release is titled 'KeMoTherapy', and hit the internet for free download October 19, 2007. "A minute ago my people started callin me "kemotherapy", and even though at first I didn't understand it I now take it as a compliment and feel that hip hop got cancer and my job is to heal it ... I need to find the perfect balance of true hip hop but still keep it commercial ... My goal is to promote the music I've recorded in my studio all over MySpace to gain a fan base and attention, and hit a professional studio in the new year to record new official, original music that I can copyright and make money off, while breaking into the mainstream hip hop business." RyKe began writing and recording music over 5 years ago, making steady progress leading up to forming his own in-house studio in the beginning of 2007, in which he has quickly recorded 50+ quality tracks in half a year and flooded the internet with his creative sound. "I take every element in hip hop that I'm feelin' and make it into my own style...I do all types of tracks for everyone out there." RyKe claims his main mission is to bring himself and his artists he works with into the public eye and prove he has the unique marketable skill to stick to the hip hop legacy. "I'm surrounded by a lot of talented people who deserve to be on top...all of us are too nice at what we do to be underground...my job is for everyone to make it." RyKe is also responsible for producing 'Ice City', a mixtape series where he blends 80's music with modern popular rap tracks. The mixtapes have sold over a thousand copies since released in 2006. "I feel the style from the 80's is heavily comin back into hip hop ... the good days vibe where it was feel good music but still with a gangsta twist ... I'm makin that my style and makin sure it comes into play in the near future in all types of music, not only hip hop." RyKe has also directed several music videos for artists all over the country including T.O.N.E-Z, Don Natural, Dale Baker, Double Up, San Quinn, John Shotti, Vince P, and others. While balancing promotion and production and staying true to his audience, RyKe is quickly becoming known and is soon to be a household name and marketable figure in music. |
